Mehndi is derived from the Sanskrit word mendhikā. ... There are many variations and types in mehndi designs which are categorized, such as Arabic mehndi designs, Indian mehndi designs, and Pakistani mehndi designs. The popular tradition of putting designs on parts of the body is a favourite cultural event to women in countries like Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh.
Join the lovely workshop coordinators of International Post Graduate Mature Students’ Club (IPGMS) to learn this art while adorning your bodies with the latest designs (can be made on arms, wrists, and shoulder). Join us to make this conventional trend of henna tattoo application more exciting, fashionable and fun filled in this workshop.
Facilitators will provide the material and designs. Maximum participants can be 25-30 and its execution is dependent on interest gathered- the more the people the more fun it will be. Facilitators are happy to stay for longer to teach you more about this amazing tradition and its tips & tricks. It can easily remove after few days; it’s purely non-toxic and does not carry any side-effects to skin. However, If you have skin allergies, it is recommended that you discuss this with the workshop coordinators before application. Wear short (or reasonable length) sleeves to avoid damage to clothing during henna application on yourself.
