Notre Dame Science Club is the torch-bearer of science based extra-curricular in our country and the first science club in the Indian Sub-continent. Since its inception Notre Dame Science Club has been inspiring students towards greatness by igniting the flame of innovation in young minds. With this view in mind, every year Notre Dame Science Club organizes the biggest science fair in the country.
This year with no exception Notre Dame Science Club is proud to present to you the “AIUB presents Notre Dame Annual Science Festival 2017 & 27th GKC”.

[Invitation & registration letters will be sent to all the institutions. All the participants must register through their respective school/college authority]
Rules & Regulations:
1. The participants must come to the venue in their school/college uniform and they must keep their ID card with them.
2. Participants are requested not to carry any extra bag or other materials which are not related to their participating event.
3. For visitors:
a) Students must come in their school/college uniform and they must keep their ID card with them while visiting the fair. Guardians are requested to keep their National ID Card with them.
b) Visitors cannot enter the venue with any bag or other materials.
c) Visitors are requested to co-operate with the authority of Notre Dame Science Club to ensure the security of the event.
4. Project Display:
a) A project including 2 members (maximum) are allowed to participate in the project display competition.
b) Project members are bound to be present in the venue with their projects at least an hour before the reporting time according to the schedule.
c) The 3 categories on which the projects will be judged are:
* Physics
* Biology/Biochemistry
* IT
d) The projects will be divided into 2 (two) divisions:
* Junior (for class 6-10)
* Senior (for class 11-12)
e) A team comprising of students from different institution is not allowed. One team must comprise of the students of the same institution.
f) The participants must bring all necessary electronic equipments (Multi-plugs, Laptops, Flash Drive etc.). The authority will not provide these equipments.
g) Participants are bound to follow any decision made by the authority of Notre Dame Science Club during the competition.
h) Participants must register their name within 17th August, 2017.
5. Olympiads:
a) Participants must report at least 20 minutes before the scheduled time.
b) Physics, Chemistry, Math and Biology Olympiads will start at the same time and continue simultaneously for 2.5 hours. For each subject participants will get maximum 40 minutes.
c) Participants can participate in more than one Olympiads. Prizes will be given in two categories:
i) For performance in individual Subjects
ii) For combined performance in Physics, Chemistry, Math and Biology
d) There will be two categories for Olympiads-
*Junior Level (Class 8-10)
*Senior Level (Class 11-12)
f) Participants must register their name within 13th August, 2017
6. Wall Magazine:
a) A group of maximum 3 members are allowed to display a wall magazine.
b) Wall Magazines have to be submitted on 24th August, 2017.
c) There is no specific size for a wall magazine; participants are permitted to display wall magazines of any standard size.
d) The wall magazines must contain a science-based theme.
e) Participants must register their name within 17th August, 2017.
7. Web Page Designing:
a) Maximum 2 participants are allowed for each web page design.
b) The page must embed a scientific theme.
c) All necessary electronic equipments (Laptop, Flash Drive etc.) must be brought by the participants. The authority will not provide these equipments.
d) Participants have to submit their designs on 24th August, 2017 according to schedule.
e) Participants must register their name within 17th August, 2017.
8. Digital Poster Designing:
a) Only one person is allowed for a poster designing competition.
b) The poster must have a scientific theme.
c) Each poster should not exceed the limit of 12 words.
d) Participants must submit raw files of the poster in a CD and printed out onto an A-4 size photo paper. The posters will be displayed in the exhibition.
e) Participants must register their name within 17th August, 2017.
9. Presentation on Scientific Contents:
a) Each team must comprise of maximum 2 members.
b) The presentations should be on science-based topics. (Participants should give priority to recent topics)
c) Participants will get a maximum of 5 minutes to describe their presentation.
d) The presentation should not exceed the limit of 8 slides.
e) All necessary electronic equipments (Laptop, Multi-plugs, Flash Drive etc.) are to be brought by the participants. The authority will not provide these equipments.
f) Participants must register their name within 17th August, 2017.
10. General Knowledge Competition:
a) All the members of the team must be of the same category i.e. either School Level or College Level.
b) Each team may consist of 3 members at maximum.
c) All of the members of each team must participate in the Preliminary Written Round.
d) Quizzers must report to each round according to schedule.
e) Teams comprising of the members of HSC Batch '17 are allowed to participate in the competition in the "College Level" category.
h) Participants must register their name within 16th August, 2017.
i) Participants of University Level GKC have to register online.
11. Rubik's Cube Competition:
a) Participants must be present at least 30 minutes before the reporting time.
b) Participants must bring their own Rubik's Cube.
c) The competition is of 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube.
12. Line Follower Robot Competition:
a) Robot must be ground wheeled vehicle; length must me maximum of 20 cm; width must be maximum of 20 cm;
weight must be maximum of 4kg; power must be maximum of 24 volts on-board power supply.
b) Metal wheeled robot are not acceptable, each team must use rubberized wheels.
c) Each team must bring its own power supply and backups for robot, no additional equipment/parts will be supplied.
d) No wireless communication or external data feed to robot will be allowed.
e) Participants can register online for this competition.
13. IT Based Extempore speech :
a)The participants will be given 3 minutes time for his speech after an unbiased selection.
b)He will be given 4 minutes to deliver his speech.
14. Google It:
a) Participants will be given 20 minutes to find the data based question’s answer.
b)The participants must bring their own android phone and cellular data. The authority will not provide them.
