About Max MSP: it is software for visual programming for processing of signals. Used mainly in music, multimedia and art contexts, it is a powerful and versatile tool that can even be used in the industry and academic research. The basis of it is its ease of doing digital signal analysis and programming in a quick and effective way not depending on the form limitations of other pre-made software.
Max is part of a tool set commonly used in music and art making, and we are interested in [all of] them. Namely, PureData, Processing, Ableton, MaxForLive, Raspberry PI, Android, to name a few.
Max MSP et al. Open Workshop
open workshop in which we will find out and talk more about music/sound processing in the digital sense, some analogue if needed.
Taking a starting point in Max MSP we can navigate from there to talk about these technologies, the digital representation of sound,
and possibilities to reach for creative purposes.

An introductory short conversation about the tools, software and technology, their purpose and applications, context and possibilities.
Following we work with Max to make a simple Synthesizer in modules. We go as far in here as time and creativity takes us. We can follow a fixed path, or jam our way through.
We finalize with a discussion about what we have made and how have we changed the world through times.
