If you are new to dancing or want to brush up on your skills this class is for you. If you feel that you can already dance with flow then try our Sunday Improvers class.

Instructors: Martin Martinez + Aljona
Martin Martinez began his journey with Bachata a few years ago after having started learning Salsa and taking a trip to New York in pursuit of his new found passion. While in New York, he came across Bachata and was immediately drawn to the dance. Following this trip he began taking lessons in both Cuban Salsa, LA On1 and then moved on to Bachata & Kizomba when living in Madrid and in Paris.
Martin is one of the founding partners of the successful Salsa Events Company, Latin Caliente and Bachata-Licious. He is a well known Salsa Dj in the Northwest alongside DJ Royce. He has also sought to share his passion and Weekly Bachata classes since 2014. Martin is an International Dj and Teacher.
Aljona Salsera currently teaches Sensual Bachata and Salsa with Martin Martinez in Manchester and Liverpool, while carrying out her PhD in Neuroscience. During her time in Manchester she has been invited to teach and perform at congresses across the UK alongside internationally renowned artists.
Dancing since the age of six, Aljona started with Ballet then discovered her passion for Latin/Ballroom and Salsa which she has been practicing for over 10 years. She competed in a variety of competitions in Latin Ballroom in Germany, before she moved to Aberdeen for her studies. There, she progressed further into the Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba dancing scene.
Aljona has experienced international dancing scenes and while studying in the USA was a key member of the Latin fusion Hip Hop Performance team “Dance2XS Caliente“ at the University of Illinois.
In Aberdeen, she established her own performance team “LatinStyleDiversity“and performed at events around the city and University. In addition to her performing, Aljona began teaching Latin Ballroom, Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba in the University as well as at Latin Dance Aberdeen.
Her passion for competing continued in Cambridge, where she performed with the “Bachata Obsession” Team and competed as part of the Latin Ballroom Formation team “XSLatin” in the prestigious British Open championship in Blackpool.
