Isla is an XC mountain biker who has climbed the ranks in the Under 23 category to achieve three consecutive World Cup career bests in 2017, including a 4th place at the final round of the year in Val di Sole, Italy. She has her eyes set on the World Cup podium in 2018 as a final year Under 23. This season she has also qualified for the Commonwealth Games 2018, where she will aim for a medal position. Isla’s bid to become one of the world’s best cross country riders has become apparent, with 2017 being her best year to date.
At this talk, Isla will give some insight as to what the life of an elite cross country racer is – the training, the hard work, the World Cup XC tracks, the highs and the lows. There’ll also be a Q&A session.
