• What we'll do
The 2001AT50 Festival will be doing a yearlong examination of 1968. How did this era influence Kubrick in his filmmaking and how is this film a product of its time?

In this meetup, we will be focusing on the violence that we see in the opening sequence of Dawn of Man and its relation to the protest and violence of 1968 in connection with Civil Rights and the Vietnam War.

• What to bring
Watch the Dawn of Man sequence, up until Jupiter Mission: 18 Months Later.
