As the year comes to a close December is often a month in which we take some moments to look back on past events. In keeping with this theme the LivEco cafe will be continuing in partnership with Take One Action to show a film from multi-award winning documentary director Franny Armstrong and oscar-winning producer John Battsek:
The Age of Stupid is about a man living in the devastated future world of 2055. He looks back at old footage from our time and asks: why didn't we stop climate change when we had the chance?
This film is a drama-documentary-animation hybrid and cleverly uses archive footage from 2007 to imagine how we might look back on our actions in years to come. Seven real people's stories are compellingly interwoven with Pete Postlethwaite's fictional character.
The Age of Stupid led to the formation of the 10:10 carbon reduction campaign which now operates in 45 countries (
