The Marshall Society is pleased to host our second speaker of the term, Barry Gardiner, who will give a talk entitled 'Rising from the ruins - Labour's Trade policy beyond Brexit'.
Barry Gardiner is a Labour politician and has been the MP for Brent North since 1997. He is the current Shadow Secretary of State for International Trade. Previous positions include appointments as the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Northern Ireland Office and at the Department of Trade and Industry.
His newfound 'media basher' notoriety has arisen from many heated interviews both before and after the most recent election. His talk will cover his views on Brexit and what this means for the UK and the Labour Party. There will also be plenty of time for general questions!
