His professional eye has been caught by the visually arresting and the unusual, from Edinburgh's civic pageants to its breathtaking scenery and its remarkable architecture.

Douglas Corrance was born in Falkirk on 1947. Starting as a junior photographer on the Highland News in Inverness at the age of 15, he has followed no other profession. He has been the sole photographic contributor in a number of books, including guides to Japan, Paris, France and India. His work has been exhibited internationally and he has been published in National Geographic Traveller and Rolling Stone magazines. He has received national awards, including the Bill Heron trophy in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Scottish tourism.
