America is a melting pot. So for Friendsgiving we will be celebrating with an International Food Crawl. The crawl will be divided into three parts. (Each one has a separate listing so you join us, for one, two, or all three. There are no tastings included in the tour. You choose what you order, and are responsible for paying, for, it. There is no obligation, for you to order from every spot. And if you don't want to eat and just join us for a walk that is fine too. All I ask is that you have patience, while people are ordering food. And, of course, please don't walk in and take up room, in any places you don't plan, on buying food.

For this portion we will be visiting the Lower East Side. The lower east side from its earliest days has been defined by its food. We start at the Essex Street Market. The Essex Market is one of the Lower East Side's most iconic culinary destinations with a history of roughly 75 years. Food Vendors inside Essex Street Market:

Peasant Stock (soup), Osaka grub (Japanese Street food), Arancini Bros (rice balls), Pueblo (tamales, burritos & tortas)

Next we will head to Patacon Pisao @ 139 Essex Patacon Pisao is known for their Venezuelan street food including arepas, empanadas, and more. Our next stop will be Goa Taco @ 79 Delancey. Goa's tacos are globally inspired with flaky Indian flatbread and international spices.

If time allows we may make some additional stops. If one of these places interests you please let me know and I'll try to include it.

Falafels @ Mazeish Grill - 137 Rivington St
Tacquitos @ Taquitorita - 168 Ludlow
Tacos @ San Loco - 111 Stanton
Gyros @ Souvlaki GR - 116 Stanton
Cuban Sandwiches @ Casa Adela @ 66 Ave C

Some things to bear in mind:

We will be spending a lot of time outside so be dressed for the weather. And wear comfortable shoes. I also recommend bringing a bottle of water. Please also bring cash to make bill paying easier.

We will wait outside of Essex Market before heading inside. If you have trouble spotting the group you can text my cell[masked] 2767.
