WHEN: Fridays 6th / 13th / 20th / 27th October and 3rd / 10th November 2017
TIME: 10.00am - 12.00pm
WHERE: Sooz in The Shed Workshop, Ground Floor, Atlas Works. (Just inside the main arched doorway) CA2 5NB
WHAT: A workshop suitable for anyone who would like to gain confidence with sewing. This group of 6 sessions will enable you to create your own choice of makes while getting guidance and help along the way.
This is NOT a 'learn to sew' workshop, more for those who know how to thread and use a machine even in the most basic of ways, but need some "me time" and space to create.
You are paying for the machine use and guidance/tuition - you will then need to bring a project, or there will be plenty on offer in The Shed. There are numerous tutorials available for use, so you don't need to plan to bring anything unless you want to.
You can do:
Covers for sewing machines and other equipment
Recyled Denim Bags
..... and much more.
The course is designed to build your confidence in using a machine, and also giving you the knowledge to learn how to cut fabric and sew together to create something useful and pretty, while working at your own pace.
Each session will last 2 hours. We have our own sewing machines, but if you would like to bring your own, feel free to do so. Each person will have a machine, no sharing so you will get full use of it during the session.
PRICE: £40.00 for all six sessions - not including materials. Project prices start at just £4.00.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon booking. Please view our REFUND POLICY for more details.
