Little PINES is BACK!!
Join us on August 14th, either at 9:00 am or 11:00 am (both sessions are the same one hour content) for our “Ducks” themed preschool program.
Clicking on "Going" here will sign you up for the 11:00 a.m. session. If you're interested in the 9:00 a.m. session, go to the 9:00 a.m. event page.
Things to bring: water, snacks for your child, clothing for inclement weather. This program is held outside; temperatures in Oak Glen are usually about 10 to 20 degrees cooler than the valleys. In the event of inclement weather, we will continue the program. We prepare for any weather condition so that children can enjoy the outdoors comfortably no matter the changes in weather.
Little PINEs is a free outdoor preschool program where parents and preschool teachers can bring their students (ages 2 ½-5) up to participate in an preschool program designed around a different nature theme each month.
Little PINEs occurs each second Monday of the month (9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m same theme.) This program takes place at the Oak Glen Preserve ALL weather and accommodations are made for special weather conditions.
The main parts of the program are a singing/movement activity, reading, lesson, exploration time, and craft. Older siblings are allowed to join, but there is an option for parents to take the older siblings and do the G.O.A.L. program instead during the preschool program.
In addition, a simple kids corner with play items will be offered for any younger siblings or young Pre-K students that need to wander and explore the area. In this age of development, we understand that some children have short attention spans and want to walk around and explore. We want to provide options to cater to any development stage the children are at, which is why we've included the kid's corner as an exploration area.
