The Xchange Writers invite you to their book launch at The Exchange Bar. There you will be entertained with Readings from the new book, a special reading from Thelma Miller, live music from The Beldons singing songs of The Tyne and The North Sea. And to top off the afternoon, retired local fisherman, Henry Howard will delight you with tales from the sea.

The Authors
Lynn Melville took early retirement and is loving being a hands-on Nana. Rediscovering her enjoyment of writing, she works mostly on children’s stories and getting on to the page, in her prose and poetry, her extensive local memories (North Shields born and ever dweller).
Sue Miller loves to write about her passions: love, fairness, families and communities. She aspires to do this every day, though sometimes life does get in the way. She recently published her first novel: 20/20 Vision: They didn't see it coming.
John Purves practised as a solicitor and criminal lawyer in Shields for 40 years, was appointed Acting Stipendiary Magistrate for Humberside, and is a member of the Rotary Club of Tynemouth. He is an imaginative writer of fiction and a published poet.
Claire Reynolds has been writing short stories for her own enjoyment since high school. Since joining the Xchangers she has gained in confidence and experience. This will be the first time her work has been published.
Helen L. Scott writes creatively with flare, style and imagination. She has a passion for storytelling and poetry. She is currently working on her first children’s book.
Krys Wysocki writes short stories, monologues and poetry. Her work has been published in several anthologies; she has won national, local and writing magazine competitions.
