We are often driven by our senses, by our desires and attachments. We cling on to stuff and accumulate more stuff. We all recognise that we often feel happier when we let go of stuff. In this workshop we will encourage our physical and mental bodies to relax and let go, becoming freer in the process.
This is a yoga practice that allows you to lie down, soften, slow down the brain waves, soothe the nervous system, recharge, boost energy levels, unfold over props and feel supported and held in a comfortable silence. In addition to the asana practice, there will be some simple techniques in breath control to help expand and balance the flow of vital energy, possibly a little mantra work to assist us on our journey. Having prepared the physical, mental and pranic body our final destination will be meditation. You should disembark the Restorative Yoga train lighter but at the same time steady and grounded.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time. Participants will set up the room together at the beginning building restorative stations around the room so that we can seamlessly move from station to station during the afternoon. With this in mind please do not be late otherwise you will miss the train!
